DOCUMENTARIES

I was the editor for these mini-documentaries for the Estate of Rory McEwen, repurposing footage from the BBC documentary, In Search of Rory McEwen.

We wanted to show Rory's multifaceted life and many talents, and to illustrate just how much of an influential figure he was in the cultural changes in London during 1960s.
I wanted to combine the musical elements, the archive video, the still images and the interview footage seamlessly, to create beautiful visuals that told some of the stories of Rory's life and did justice to the incredible art he produced.

'CONDEMNED'

During my last year at university, I worked on a large-scale production: a documentary uncovering the story of wrongly convicted Jimmy O’Connor. As part of the production team, I worked very closely with the director, co-directing some scenes, helping on shoot days and working as the sound engineer on set, but my main role was editing both the video and the audio of the piece.

The documentary was shown at the independent Rio Cinema in Dalston, London to a sold-out audience.
